You need no wings to fly!

Birds always fascinated me. They could fly, travel places without restrictions. I always thought if only I were a bird. Though, I would stumble walking, fall flat on my face running, yet, I dreamt to fly. How would it feel to leave the ground beneath, run with the clouds, touch the sky above. Would it mean I would be near god, or would I be god indeed... childish thoughts, rubbish dreams. Could I ever outgrew wings... Well, Icarus and his father Daedalus did try, the end did not turn into their favour. But they tried. And there were Wright Brothers, this favored all of us. I am pretty sure the dumb world called them idiots.

Don't let the fear of falling keep you from flying!
Anyways, my dream to fly never died. After all, we were taught "Sky is the limit". So, obviously I wanted to let my dreams take flight. Spread my wings and fly away. But to fly without wings is just a metaphor, you cannot actually do that. And I was no Daedalus to attach wings. My dream to fly, in real just became something I achieved through my freedom. But I wasn't looking for paradox, I actually wanted to fly, feel the rush of air in my face, bow down not just to admire my shoes, but to admire the base that I just left.

They say, if you really desire something destiny will work in your favor. Thus, the word, Paragliding came up. To tell the truth, aeroplane travel never felt like flying, you are on a flight undoubtedly, but flying is freedom, it shouldn't constrict you. Just my thought. So yes, paragliding. It did scare me. the same dream that I so wanted to get fulfilled, frightened me too. I kept procrastinating. Pokhara paragliding seemed far fetched ( though it was Not.) Finally, I found one nearby at Lapsifedi, Sankhu, Kathmandu. And the experience made for a life time.
